My Writing Journey

Four years ago, I started my "writing" journey. It has always been a goal on my bucket list to write and be published. As a high school English teacher, I thought I might have an advantage. I knew commas, right? I knew grammar, right? Yes...but...

I didn't know the craft of writing. I loved Jane Austen, Georgette Heyer, Sarah Eden, Julianne Donaldson, Beth Brower, and others in my Romance Pantheon, but I did not know exactly how they got from great idea to a finished romance...

So I studied, wrote, attended conferences, experienced imposter syndrome, read, rewrote, asked for feedback, read, consulted, researched, read...

And now, four years later, at the age of 56, I am indie publishing my own Regency Romance novel. It is not a diamond of the first season, but it is my firstborn in the wilderness. And I love it all the more.

I hope you will enjoy Pearls for Margaret.
